About The Position

The Utility / Dishwasher at Social Capitol is a vital support role within the culinary team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency in the kitchen while also assisting with food preparation tasks. This hybrid position bridges dishwashing and prep cook responsibilities, ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and safely during all service periods. This role plays a critical part in supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house success by ensuring all kitchen tools, equipment, and service ware are consistently clean and available, while also contributing to food prep and production. The Utility / Dishwasher is also responsible for receiving and properly storing delivery orders, maintaining organization across storage areas, and supporting the culinary team during high-volume service. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with coworkers effectively
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Ability to easily adapt to organizational and environmental changes
  • Must have a flexible schedule, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in regulation with company dress code policy
  • Adhere to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Responsibilities

  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize items efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness of dish areas, floors, drains, and trash stations
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation standards
  • Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks
  • Store cleaned items properly
  • Assist with washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  • Maintain prep accuracy and consistency
  • Support line cooks during service
  • Keep prep areas clean and compliant
  • Follow food handling procedures
