About The Position

The position involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to keep up with the demands of a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Arrive clean and well-groomed, free from body odor.
• Check dish area, ensuring the dishwasher is ready to operate and that bus tabs and carts are clean.
• Wash dishes, pots, and utensils to a clean, spot, and grease-free condition.
• Retrieve dishes from bus tubs in the wait station.
• Spray all dishes with a sprayer before and after racking, ensuring no food or paper is on dishes before they enter the machine.
• Place dishes in the machine and allow it to run a cycle, ensuring dishes dry before stacking.
• Keep up to pace with the demand for clean dishes.
• Wash silverware in small batches, placing it in an upright container and washing for two cycles.
• Soak cups and soup bowls before washing.
• Ensure all glasses and cups are free from lipstick.
• Keep dishes and silverware clean and available as needed.
• Keep pots, pans, and utensils clean and grease-free.
• Maintain a clean work station, including floors, walls, back splash, machine, bus tubs, and carts.
• Empty all trash cans and sweep and mop all floors after the evening shift.
• Clean walls as needed on a weekly basis.
• Keep the storeroom and walk-ins organized.
• Wash trash cans every Monday.
