Requirements

• Kindness and a desire to work with the elderly.
• Willingness to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Serve elders and guests, take orders for meals, and clean tables after meals.
• Prepare and serve meals for the dietary department in a safe and appetizing method in compliance with dietary standards, policy, and procedures.
• Clean the kitchen, wash dishes, and return food to proper storage.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Adhere to procedures regarding infection control, food-borne illness prevention, harmful chemical handling, fire, safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure appropriate snacks are available to elders with special dietary needs.
