About the position

The Dishwasher position at FISD involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. The role is essential for ensuring a hygienic work environment and supporting the overall foodservice operations at Darlington School. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling and no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or using a dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures.
• Polishes silver using various equipment and ensures cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains compliance with safety procedures and standards.
• Keeps the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to ensure cleanliness.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
• Removes trash and cleans garbage cans as needed.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Helps load and unload supplies and products.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
