About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Dishwasher/Deli Clerk to join our
team. This role is crucial to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen
environment while assisting with deli operations. The ideal candidate should
possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to cleanliness and food safety, and
the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This position requires
someone with excellent time management skills, a positive attitude, and a
willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Possess a Food Handler's Card or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• General knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to cleanliness.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Familiarity with deli operations, including food preparation techniques.
• Experience with loading and unloading deliveries.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing equipment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and cookware are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, adhering to strict sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash.
• Assist with deli operations, including food preparation, following established recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Load and unload deliveries, organizing and storing food items properly.
• Practice and adhere to all safety procedures and safety standards to prevent accidents.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting customers with orders and inquiries.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills, collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handwashing and food handling techniques.
• Multitask effectively, managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
