About The Position

At GE Appliances, a Haier company, we come together to make “good things, for life.” As the fastest-growing appliance company in the U.S., we’re powered by creators, thinkers and makers who believe that anything is possible and that there’s always a better way. We believe in the power of our people and in giving them the freedom to explore, discover and build good things, together. The GE Appliances philosophy, backed by three simple commitments defines the way we work, invent, create, do business, and serve our communities: we come together, we always look for a better way, and we create possibilities. Interested in joining us on our journey? As a Change Control Coordinator, you will own and drive through Project Leaders, the execution of all product and production changes within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This includes full ownership of deviations, New Product Introduction (NPI), and current production changes to ensure they are implemented correctly, efficiently, and without disruption to safety, quality, or delivery. This role plays a pivotal part on the factory floor, working directly with project leaders and production teams to ensure changes are properly planned, validated, and executed. You will serve as the critical link between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality—ensuring alignment, readiness, and successful change adoption across the plant.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of change control, NPI processes, and production systems.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Proven problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QMS tools (Windchill, Agile) and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
  • Knowledge of Proficy, FIS, or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, and structured quality processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience in appliance or similar high-volume manufacturing industries.
  • Experience supporting high-mix or lot size of one production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Change Control Execution & Ownership (35%) Own end-to-end execution of all change control activities, including deviations, and current production changes. Validate New Product Introductions (NPI) flow into current QMS systems. Ensure all changes are implemented correctly in production, with proper validation, documentation, and risk mitigation. Lead readiness reviews to confirm alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain. Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to meet change implementation timing and quality expectations. Escalate risks proactively and ensure issues are resolved prior to production impact.
  • Production Integration & Factory Engagement (25%) Actively engage on the factory floor to ensure changes are executed correctly and sustainably in production. Attend daily production meetings to support implementation of changes and resolve real-time issues. Partner directly with project leaders and area leaders to ensure smooth rollout of engineering and process changes. Validate production readiness including materials, test systems, documentation, and operator instructions. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to change implementation.
  • NPI & Program Integration (15%) Participate in NPI reviews and program milestones to ensure production readiness and proper change integration. Ensure NPI changes are aligned with current production constraints and factory capabilities. Coordinate transition of new models or changes from development into stable production. Identify and mitigate risks early during NPI to prevent downstream production disruptions.
  • Deviation Management & Control (15%) Own deviation process from initiation through closure, ensuring proper evaluation, approval, and execution. Champion deviation trial runs and validate effectiveness prior to full implementation. Ensure deviations are controlled, documented, and do not introduce unintended quality or production risks. Partner with Quality and Engineering to transition temporary deviations into permanent solutions when appropriate.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Influence (10%) Serve as the voice of change control in production and NPI forums. Influence project leaders and cross-functional teams to implement changes correctly and on time. Communicate status, risks, and readiness clearly to plant leadership. Drive alignment between program timing and factory execution realities.
