About The Position
IHOP is seeking dedicated Dishwashers who take pride in providing exceptional guest service. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that all items are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. You will also be responsible for the daily care of foodstuff-relevant rooms, including walls and floors, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service. In addition to routine cleaning tasks, you will need to respond quickly to unforeseen incidents, such as spills or breakages, ensuring that the kitchen remains safe and operational at all times. You will help keep kitchen equipment functioning properly by following operating instructions, troubleshooting any breakdowns, and performing preventative maintenance as needed. Maintaining appropriate levels of clean dishes and utensils is essential, as is participating in our environmental sustainability initiatives, which include recycling, waste reduction, and energy and water conservation. We are looking for individuals who present a professional appearance and possess a positive attitude. The ability to work well in a team environment is crucial, as is having reliable transportation and a flexible work schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be standing, bending, and walking for long periods, and you should be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
