Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes by hand or in a commercial dishwasher.
  • Scrape off excess food before loading dishes into the machine.
  • Wash items like cutting boards and knives between orders.
  • Ensure all items are properly dried and stored in their designated areas.
  • Clean floors, empty trash, and sanitize the kitchen.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas.
  • Stock supplies like detergents and other cleaning materials.
  • Assist with the cleaning of kitchen appliances, such as ovens, grills, and refrigerators, as needed.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks like chopping vegetables or preparing sauces.
  • Set up workstations before meal prep.
  • Assist kitchen staff with other tasks as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including proper handling and storage of chemicals.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Kitchen Manager immediately.
  • Monitor dishwashing supplies, including detergents and sanitizers, and report any shortages to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stored and labeled.
