Dish Washer/Prep Cook
About The Position
Introduction: We are seeking a skilled and organized Dish Washer/Prep Cook to join our team and ensure that our kitchen is clean and well-maintained, and also assist with the preparation of high-quality meals for our guests. The Dish Washer/Prep Cook will be responsible for washing dishes, pots, and pans, preparing ingredients and assisting with the production of menu items, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work area. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy objects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dish washer or prep cook or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety standards and guidelines
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping and mopping the floor and cleaning equipment and surfaces
- Prepare ingredients for menu items, including chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and measuring out spices and other ingredients
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines, including properly handling and storing food
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Other duties as assigned
