The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using dishwashing machines and manual cleaning methods. This role plays a key part in ensuring a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment at the golf club.

  • Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment quickly and efficiently to ensure a continuous supply of clean items for kitchen and dining staff.
  • Properly store clean dishes, utensils, and glassware to ensure they are easy to access and well-organized.
  • Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure it is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Assist with basic food preparation and plating as directed by kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dishwashing area and kitchen, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and organizing supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and dining areas after each service, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.
  • Ensure that all restrooms and on-course facilities are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down banquet or event areas as needed, ensuring all facilities meet standards.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas, including keeping track of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with the receiving and storage of food, beverage, and kitchen supplies as needed.
  • Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions or inventory shortages.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with customers, assisting where necessary, especially during busy times.
  • Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are stocked with clean plates, glasses, utensils, and other necessary items.
  • Work closely with kitchen and dining staff to ensure all service areas are properly equipped and clean.
  • Follow sanitation and safety guidelines in all areas of the kitchen, dining room, and clubhouse.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain high cleanliness standards in dishwashing and food handling areas.
  • Maintain satisfactory attendance. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures.
  • Must possess the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the job, including following oral and written instructions, reading safety information, and completing required documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description.
  • Previous experience in a dishwashing, kitchen, or custodial role.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of correct food handling and sanitation practices.
