About The Position

As a Discipline Specialist at Tulsa Honor Academy, you will support in cultivating school wide classroom cultures built on strong structures, communication and lasting relationships. Requirements

  • High school diploma required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in behavior intervention is preferred
  • Prior experience with restorative justice practices is highly preferred
  • Prior experience in a charter school setting is highly preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Academic Achievement: To ensure all Tulsa Honor Academy scholars are on track to surpass their academic goals, Discipline Specialists utilize school-wide systems for culture/behavior to support scholar success. Discipline Specialists hold all scholars to high expectations and provide the necessary supports for scholars to meet them.
  • Data: The Discipline Specialists analyze school-wide culture data alongside the Assistant Principal of Culture/ Director of Scholar Intervention and make adjustments to ensure fidelity to the THA mission and vision. The Discipline Specialists support School Leaders in driving fidelity of school culture systems across the school network, including behavior management, attendance and more.
  • Communication: The Discipline Specialists maintain consistent and transparent communication between scholars, staff and families.
  • Behavior Intervention: The Discipline Specialists supervises the Reflection Room, On Notice Scholars and manages the day-to-day ISS responsibilities. Discipline Specialists issue consequences aligned to network wide norms and structures.
  • Relationships:The Discipline Specialists model how to build strong, mutually respectful relationships with scholars and families and support staff to do the same.
