About The Position

We are currently a Disc Assembly Group Leader for 1st Shift. The associate will be responsible for working with the Superintendent and assisting in production and Associate matters in the assigned area.

Requirements

• Akebono Associate
• High school Diploma or GED
• Excellent communication with others with the ability to work-well under pressure and proactively problem solve.
• Display strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and encourage others to do so.
• Perform and record quality checks and supervise part output to verify they are meeting quality standards.
• Follow standardized work instructions and train Associates to follow SWI.
• Train new Associates and provide refresher training to Associates that have transferred onto the line or may need additional support.
• Ensure the line follows 2S Standards and perform regular cleaning.
• Ensure line productivity by directing team of assigned temporaries and full-time Associates.
• Work with Superintendent to solve issues that may arise on the line (ie., employee relations, production output, etc.).
• Perform machine change-overs as needed.
