About The Position

Operation Blessing (OB) is seeking a Preparedness Technician to support our Global Disaster Relief programs. Based in Bristol, TN, this role is responsible for managing logistics, inventory, and equipment readiness, as well as supporting product reception and distribution. The technician plays a vital role in preparing for on-site volunteer events and community outreach initiatives, including Local Hunger Relief efforts. This position also contributes to disaster preparedness at multiple locations and provides hands-on logistical support during response deployments, including equipment convoying and site mobilization.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics equipment, and inventory management systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-standard inventory software applications.
• Experience with fleet maintenance systems, preferably Fleetio or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with transportation and inventory tracking systems used in disaster relief or warehousing.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate and manage teams effectively.
• Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including with limited notice (24 hours or less).
• Ability to make authorized credit card purchases on behalf of the organization when required.
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Current forklift certification (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), or willingness and ability to obtain.
