About the role To tear down/disassemble large manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures Verify and prepare all part/ components for welding, machining, and assembly. To read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately and efficiently disassemble equipment and products. To perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards, using in-process inspection tools and devices To Work with shop equipment, power tools and torches To operate overhead cranes to move component parts Must be capable of handling tasks requiring moderate to heavy physical exertion and to also be able to stoop, bend, twist, and climb up onto the large equipment components while performing the disassembly duties. To work in a safe manner at all times following established policies and procedures and maintain a good sense of safety and hazard awareness. Must be able to work with solvents, grease, and grime under relatively adverse physical conditions.
