About The Position

We have an immediate need for a Disassembly Technician at our Trace Aviation facility in Flowood, MS. JOB PURPOSE The Disassembly Technician role will involve disassembling, cleaning, and removing primer/paint coatings from various aircraft landing gear components and parts.

Requirements

  • Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level.
  • Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires repetitive hand movement.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Nice To Haves

  • No specific experience required but general mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize manufacturers and internal technical data to properly disassemble and clean aircraft landing gear components and parts.
  • Ensure proper organization and segregation of disassembled components.
  • Document status/results/completion in internal computer database programs.
  • Tapping of Parts
  • Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and compliance.
  • Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
  • Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance, and equipment operation requirements.
