About The Position
The Disability Specialist provides professional case management services to a diverse population of students with disabilities, temporary injuries, and pregnancy attending UNLV. In addition to facilitating in-person student contact, access, and accommodations, the disability specialist provides consultation and support to faculty and staff regarding strategies and methods for meeting the unique needs of this student population. This position focuses time and resources on professional case management services for students with disabilities, those reporting disabilities, and possible future UNLV students who will use DRC services as an essential factor in their college/university attendance decision. The Disability Resource Center is committed to supporting students with disabilities at UNLV through the appropriate use of advocacy, accommodations, and supportive services to ensure access to campus courses, services, and activities.
