You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire required
  • Experience working with young children required

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Experience working with at-risk population and/or Head Start experience preferred
  • The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player

Responsibilities

  • Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff
  • Implement active supervision strategies
  • Assist children with individual education plans
  • Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom
  • Implement screenings and assessments
  • Data entry
