About The Position

To assist the Mission Services Department by coordinating the activities of the Community Based Training (CBT) program and to help as needed with the Student Work Experience Program (SWEP). This position also conducts all intakes for the CBT program as well as helps the Director of Disability and Volunteer Programs with the day-to-day administrative duties for the CBT program. The Disability Program Coordinator also assists Mission Services in meeting annual goals and meeting CARF (Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and all other GII (Goodwill Industries International) Certification Standards and expectations.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to include cross cultural and ability/willingness to work with economically and culturally diverse clientele required.
  • Patience, diplomacy, and high level of customer service skills required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple funding sources, including private grants, State and Federal funds
  • Demonstrated experience tracking, collecting, and compiling programmatic data along with periodic reporting
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with adults and youth with disabilities within an employment setting
  • Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive, collaborative, and solution-oriented work culture and environment
  • Must have knowledge of ADA law and HIPPA regulations.
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated knowledge of case management and case file management.
  • Must have at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must be results oriented, accomplish departmental goals, and meet assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ability to work independently, and in a team, with ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Las Vegas valley labor market, business community, human services, Vocational Rehabilitation, and a working knowledge of disability-related issues
  • Must have a CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including a strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • High school/ GED completion or a Bachelor’s degree in any related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred or a combination of applicable experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in employment counseling, job development and placement, job training and coaching, and program management preferred.
  • Demonstrates experience working with people who have barriers to employment from various socio-economic, professional, and ethnic backgrounds preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with barriers such as low income, limited language skills, limited education, and criminal records a plus.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with the Career Services team and the Chief Mission Services Officer in the area of programming and assessment, ensuring compliance with all CARF Accreditation.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors all operational procedures in compliance with CARF standards and the State of Nevada.
  • Tracks and monitors reporting requirements for Goodwill Industries International ASR reporting.
  • Determines and implements improvements in tracking procedures, documentation, and data collection.
  • Monitors and reports on all program outcome goals, develops qualitative success stories and quantitative program statistics for CBT and Volunteer Services programs as directed by the Chief Mission Services Officer.
  • Provides proactive leadership for direct reports and team members working within assigned programs. This includes documentation, periodic performance evaluation and ongoing training.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable procedures and policies in the CBT Program, STEPS Program, Pre-ETS Program, SWEP Program and Volunteer Services Program through regular audits.
  • Identifies and offers solutions for any gaps or inefficiencies in the delivery of services.
  • Develops annual budget targets for reimbursement revenue from Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation, philanthropic support, as well as program expenditures.
  • Helps to identify and address funding limitations and opportunities.
  • Researches and identifies potential expansion of programmatic opportunities and new streams of revenue.
  • Monitors BVR billing to ensure program goals are being met with help from the Disability Program Coordinator and the Finance team.
  • Monitors Pre-Employment Transition Services program to ensure quality of services meets necessary standards.
  • Ensures all Vocational Rehabilitation Provider Agreements and MOU’s are followed and adhered to in accordance to the guidelines.
  • Reviews and approves reports to appropriate funding sources as directed by the Chief Mission Services Officer.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by the Chief Mission Services Officer.
  • Participates in departmental, agency and community meetings.
  • Ensures best use of technology in support of programmatic objectives and makes recommendations for related improvements.
  • Manages all aspects of the CSW program which includes ensuring the volunteers are able to enroll at all of the Career Centers and work at one of the Goodwill stores, Warehouse, or Corporate Headquarters.
  • Ensures the processing of CSW assignments and hours as well as addressing any issues that arise with specific volunteers.
  • Maintains relationships with agencies that refer CSW to Goodwill.
  • Processes corporate volunteers and other individuals, helping them enroll in the Volunteer Program and to find appropriate assignments within Goodwill.
  • Ensures compliance with all Goodwill policies provided in the Team Member Guidebook, Goodwill Industries International standards, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.
  • Assists in any other projects or tasks as determined by management.
