A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM ASSISTANT As a Residential Program Assistant with our nonprofit, you play an essential role in helping our program coordinator keep our group home running smoothly. You provide additional oversight to the staffing and training of our group home as well as ensure that residents receive the individual support that they need. In addition, you help coordinate and lead the programs that we offer. Following along with our person-centered and behavior support plans, you monitor, supervise, and participate in their development and implementation, which means our residents are always receiving the top-quality care they need. You enjoy having a job where you get to make such a positive impact on our residents with developmental disabilities and their families! The individuals in these programs need support with high levels of medical, behavioral and personal hygiene care. You will play an integral part directly supporting clients every shift to assist the individuals with social skills, communication, safety, recreation and leisure, and various other skills to learn independence in their lives.
