Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining materials and circulation of two libraries.
- Assist in maintaining the order and aesthetics of the libraries.
- Work on a regularly scheduled basis with individual students or in small groups.
- Be actively involved with teachers in implementing lesson plans.
- Supervision duties may be assigned to the Paraprofessional before/after school or during recess.
- Under the supervision of an assigned teacher, the paraprofessional may have the responsibility of making daily decisions regarding instructional and behavioral management for a student.
- Is expected to maintain confidentiality regarding students and related school issues.
- Assists with record keeping as needed.
- Operates standard school equipment such as laminator, copier, video, fax, computer, etc.
- Participates in necessary inservice training programs as required.
