About The Position

The DIRECTV Legal Internship is designed for first-year law students to gain practical experience working alongside in-house counsel in a leading video content distribution company. Interns will have the opportunity to engage in various legal tasks, including working on content distribution agreements, attending depositions and hearings, conducting research, and drafting memoranda across multiple practice areas. This paid internship lasts 8-10 weeks during Summer 2025 and is primarily virtual, with potential travel to Los Angeles.

Requirements

• Must be a first-year student enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school
• Good academic standing
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity in the legal profession
• Strong interest in the entertainment industry

Nice To Haves

• Experience or coursework related to entertainment law
• Previous internships or volunteer work in legal settings

Responsibilities

• Work on content distribution agreements
• Attend depositions and hearings
• Conduct legal research
• Draft memoranda across various practice areas including Content and Programming, Intellectual Property, Litigation, Regulatory, Product, and Labor and Employment.
