About The Position

We are looking for a Director of Americas Workplace Operations & Experience-AMER-West. The position will manage a regional team responsible for all aspects of workplace operations, services, and facilities management for leased and owned properties throughout the Western US including our 1M SF Global Headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. This leader will help drive consistency and continuity in the employee & customer experience across all sites in the Americas. This role is critical to driving our business, culture and sustainability goals across the Americas West Region. We are looking for a dynamic and mission-driven individual with a passion for delivering world-class experiences that allow our employees to do their best work any place, any time! You will be both execution focused, ensuring our day-to-day business runs frictionless, and strategy focused, making sure we are contributing to Palo Alto Networks long term success. This is an in office role based in our HQ, Santa Clara CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of workplace and facilities operations experience in a corporate environment, preferably in the tech sector.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex, and high needs campuses with both office and lab environments.
  • Excellent communication & presentation abilities, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
  • Expert knowledge of financial concepts, financial analysis, budget formulation, and business case development.
  • Exceptional project management skills with energy and enthusiasm to deliver aggressive targets, timelines, and client satisfaction needs.
  • Well honed technology skills including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Asana, and other platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to a diverse team of workplace and facility managers.
  • Develop and implement new and improved standards or processes to drive a culture of innovation & continuous improvement.
  • Own the delivery of hard and soft services in the Americas West Region.
  • Be an employee experience advocate and a builder of employee-centric programs.
  • Partner with internal teams such as Design & Delivery, IT, Security, EHS, Finance, etc.
  • Manage an existing team made up of both employees and service partners.
  • Manage contracts and procurement for services, materials, and minor projects.
  • Respond to escalations and lead resolution of issues with a customer-first mindset.
  • Lead the management of minor construction, tenant improvements, and lab reconfigurations.
  • Provide input during planning and execution of space optimization initiatives.
  • Engage proactively in Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability strategy.
  • Maintain financial responsibility for the development and management of the operations budget.
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with Landlord/Property Management teams.
