About The Position

As a Director in our Work, Rewards and Careers (WRC) practice, you will lead and partner with Senior Directors to sell and deliver human capital engagements for Financial Services clients. You will oversee consulting engagements (either directly or through project managers) while serving as a strategic thought partner to senior colleagues in developing customized client solutions. You will also provide coaching and mentorship to junior colleagues. Our projects range in scope from targeted solutions to broad cross-line-of-business engagements, including M&A transactions support and total rewards strategy and optimization. We support clients across a full range of Work, Rewards and Careers disciplines, including: Rewards: Rewards strategy design and optimization Compensation philosophy design Competitive compensation market analyses Annual and long-term incentive program design Sales incentive program design Pay for performance and salesforce effectiveness Pay equity and pay fairness assessments Careers and Work Job architecture design Competency and skills frameworks Performance management Workforce analytics and planning Functional/organization structure design Career philosophy/strategy You will also support the continued revenue growth of the Work & Rewards line of business and WTW overall by contributing to industry roundtables and marketing initiatives, performing industry/topical research, developing intellectual capital, and participating in our firm’s Financial Services industry team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of broad-based rewards design experience within Financial Services, gained through consulting or similarly consultative corporate environments.
  • Familiarity with product offerings, organizational models, operating models, and incentive structures at asset and/or wealth management firms.
  • Experience in designing incentive programs that effectively align pay with performance for sales and investment professionals
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
  • Creative, analytical and results-driven, with the ability to draw conclusions, themes, and trends from data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to lead internal teams and coordinate effectively with client partners.
  • Executive presence with strong and persuasive oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and work across all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams of consulting professionals.
  • Mentoring/coaching skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Word.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the lead consultant on client projects or as the secondary lead on complex engagements, developing reward strategies that align with the client’s broader human capital strategy and support the client’s business goals.
  • Managing multiple and complex project engagements to ensure profitable revenue for WTW, strong associate engagement and development, and high client satisfaction.
  • Leading or co-leading business development by facilitating discovery discussions with prospects and developing and delivering proposals.
  • Building collaborative client relationships to understand their business and challenges, strengthen the quality of our consulting insights, and expand WTW’s service offering into new areas.
  • Thinking strategically in partnering with clients to develop innovate approaches to solving their business challenges.
  • Providing high quality consulting advice, accurate analyses and compelling deliverables for senior leaders at client organizations.
  • Using clear, effective written and verbal communication to deliver detailed findings, analyses and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Leveraging and managing the work of junior staff, providing coaching and on-going feedback.
  • Demonstrating leadership ability by effectively mentoring consultants and analysts.
  • Serving as a positive role model of WTW values and contribute to building an employer of choice culture of top performing associates committed to client satisfaction, teamwork and excellence in all that is done.
  • Contributing to the development of new tools and approaches.
  • Contributing to the external visibility of WTW’s brand through intellectual capital generation, drafting articles, and attending and speaking at relevant conferences.
