About The Position

The Director of Warehouse Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing all activities across our four distribution centers, 3rd party forward warehouses, and multiple satellite warehouses. This role ensures that each facility operates with consistent standards, shared KPIs, and a unified approach to safety, service, and efficiency. The Director will drive network-wide optimization, manage capacity constraints, and champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen performance, scalability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in warehouse or distribution operations, with at least 5 years in multi-site leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in developing KPIs, optimizing networks, and leading large teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
  • Experience with WMS, LMS, and related supply chain technologies.
  • Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and change-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive oversight for all warehouse operations across four distribution centers, ensuring consistent execution of processes, policies, and performance expectations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Warehouse Managers and their teams, building a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all locations.
  • Define, implement, and maintain a common set of KPIs for all distribution centers, covering safety, productivity, accuracy, labor efficiency, service levels, and cost performance.
  • Monitor performance trends and lead corrective action plans to address gaps or emerging issues.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on operational performance and strategic opportunities.
  • Evaluate network performance and identify opportunities to optimize inventory flow, transportation alignment, facility layout, and labor utilization.
  • Manage capacity constraints across the network, reallocating volume or resources as needed to maintain service levels and operational balance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall network resilience.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Transportation, Inventory, and Finance teams to support long-term planning, including facility expansion, automation, and technology investments.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Assess and implement new systems, tools, and technologies that enhance visibility, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Ensure all distribution centers maintain a strong safety culture and comply with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure accuracy, minimize errors, and support customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal audits, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Customer Service, Sales, and Transportation teams to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain execution.
  • Serve as the operational voice in cross-functional planning meetings, providing insights on capacity, constraints, and opportunities.
