About The Position

The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing all warehouse and distribution operations to ensure safe, efficient, and optimal utilization of facilities, equipment, and personnel. This role involves maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations while managing financial and productivity guidelines. The director will lead a team, enforce safety protocols, and foster a positive work environment to enhance operational efficiency and employee engagement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred in operations systems or business management.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in management/leadership roles in a distribution-related industry.
• Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze numerical data and solve problems effectively.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment and collaborate with multiple teams.

Nice To Haves

• Food service knowledge preferred.
• Certification on material handling equipment or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Direct all warehouse and distribution operations to promote safety and efficiency.
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of the warehouse management team and associates.
• Enforce safety rules to eliminate accidents and injuries.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with various departments to optimize product flow and service quality.
• Manage receiving, slotting, and shipping processes to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain knowledge of warehouse systems and refrigeration processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal laws.
• Support food safety policies and standard operating procedures.
