In this role, we are looking for a dynamic leader that has deep industry knowledge of commercial data assets along with advanced analytics experience that will continue to advance the long-term data strategy for US Vaccines. This candidate should be both technically skilled with a keen eye towards the business to own and drive data quality, management, and analytics strategy for US Vaccines. The Director, Vx Data Product Management is responsible for the data management and governance of secondary and internal data assets within Pfizer with a focus on advancing our data and analytics capabilities for US Vaccines. She/he will advance the operational network for data governance and drive the execution of data stewardship and data strategy for decision enablement collaborating heavily with internal groups such as Digital DevOps, Master Data Management, Performance Analytics & Insights (PAI), Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) and Data Science.

  • Lead and oversee the U.S. Commercial Vx data asset ecosystem to ensure data operations are maintained with data quality, data integrity, and data availability supporting 500+ U.S. Vx commercial data users.
  • Maintain and proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing Vx specific foundational capabilities (e.g. APS model, RSV split model, Public/Private split model, Central Purchasing model, and Manufacturer Loyalty model).
  • Enable U.S. Commercial Vx performance reporting and Sales Force Incentive Compensation programs using high quality Vx specific business data assets.
  • Own the U.S. Commercial Vx customer backbone or Business Account Construct (BAC) to ensure customer data is uniformly defined to ensure consistency across the entire commercial organization from HQ analytics to sales pull through.
  • Partner closely with CMO IIS, CMO Data Science, Vx OE, and Digital teams to identify new Vx specific business data assets to support the short- and long-term strategic priorities of U.S. Vaccines.
  • Pioneer new capabilities using Gen AI and other advancements in the AI space to enable lightspeed decision making across the U.S. Commercial Vx BU.
  • BA required, MS preferred, relevant fields include but are not necessarily limited to operations research, data science, statistics or computer programming.
  • 8+ years (BA) or 7+ years (MS) of experience in data strategy, data management and/or commercial analytics, ideally in the biopharma or healthcare industry.
  • 5+ years leading a team of data engineers and/or analytics professionals.
  • Deep understanding of key data types/sources used for vaccines commercial analytics.
  • Robust knowledge of core data integration and data model design approaches.
  • Proven experience building analytic data engineering pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to translate business needs and analytical approaches into data asset design.
  • Experience building scalable data product solutions spanning multiple brands, therapeutic areas and business units, leveraging synergies to maximize efficiency.
  • Experience in partnering with Digital/IT functions to implement robust, production-level data products.
  • Deep understanding of commercial secondary analytics.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and data product management frameworks.
  • Experience working with third-party data vendors in staff augmentation and/or project-based models.
  • Gen AI (e.g. LLMs).
