About The Position

The Director of Value Analysis serves as a strategic clinical liaison within purchasing, partnering closely with Nursing, and clinical leaders, to facilitate informed purchasing decisions that prioritize patient care, outcomes, and value. This position bridges the gap between clinical practice and sourcing by advocating for clinician needs, coordinating vendor engagement and product evaluations, and ensuring the right products are brought forward for consideration. Through strong relationship-building across hospitals & clinical facilities, this position strengthens trust and collaboration with nursing and positions purchasing as a partner. Through data-driven evaluation, facilitation of multidisciplinary teams, and strong change leadership, this position drives network-wide alignment, overcomes barriers to improvement, and translates strategic priorities into consistent, effective practices. This position will provide organization, structure, and coordination to the Value Analysis process and team. This position will work closely with & report to the Vice President of Supply Chain. Success in this position requires the ability to bring clarity and structure to complex initiatives, influence without authority, build durable relationships, and sustain measurable value through thoughtful coordination, communication, and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing and/or healthcare is required.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in a healthcare clinical setting is required.
  • Three (3) – five (5) years of management/leadership experience is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
  • Negotiation skills and experience with products and supply chain techniques are required.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong capability to coordinate, lead, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience in change management, quality management, process and data analysis, problem solving, and team building
  • Advanced ability to interpret and apply complex data, including cost-benefit analyses and financial feasibility studies, to develop value analysis strategies, priorities, and action plans
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of healthcare products and end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes
  • Professional knowledge of acute care practices and healthcare operations, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is preferred.
