About The Position

The Director, US Corporate Real Estate supports the RBC US based business, in collaboration with global Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Centers of Excellence (COE’s), with a focus on Wealth Management; and is responsible for supporting $5MM sf across 360 locations in the US. The role provides integrated service delivery for all CRE services, including strategic planning, transactions, capital projects, facilities management and operations, in the region consistent with the CRE global operating model.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in corporate real estate with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity developing and leading teams
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • Strategic business and financial, budget, forecasting and cost acumen
  • Exceptional client relationship management and consultative approach with the ability to impact and influence
  • Proven knowledge of all aspects of project management processes including estimating, tendering, scheduling, interpreting design drawings, construction practices, value engineering, alternative procurement methods and managing outsourced vendor relationships

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a single point of contact and trusted business partner for all business platforms and functions residing within the region, to ensure alignment of the real estate portfolio and services with CRE global operating model and line of business strategies
  • Drive CRE initiatives within the region that result in both the efficiency and effectiveness of RBC’s real estate portfolio ensuring horizontal integration of other functions such as technology, HR, finance, and risk to create innovative solutions and experiences for the businesses
  • Ensure the delivery of expected client service levels and the day to day operations and maintenance of RBC’s premises, including management and oversight of service providers, remain within the prescribed budget and consistent with the CRE global operating model
  • Provide governance oversight and reporting to ensure all areas of CRE comply with internal policies and programs and external regulatory and legislative obligations in order to reduce risk, provide safe environments for our employees and clients and comply with appropriate laws
  • Oversee and be accountable for the delivery of all RBC construction projects in region including integration of design standards consistent with global operating model and in collaboration with global CRE COE’s and service providers
  • Establish and monitor quantitative standards of performance, and provide timely project, program executive summaries, as well as appropriate internal management reporting, metrics and key information
  • Oversee capital budget forecasts; challenge, validate and control new engagements against budget and policies

  • The expected salary range for this particular position is $140,000-$230,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
