The anticipated salary range for this role is between $200,000.00 and $225,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees. SMBC Combined U.S. Operations (“CUSO”) Corporate Treasury seeks a strategic, critical thinking, detailed oriented individual, with relevant industry experience for the position of Director. The candidate will lead various Balance Sheet & Capital Optimization initiatives for ensuring effective and efficient use of the CUSO balance sheet with a goal of improving return on capital measures for the Americas Division. This function will provide support to senior management and other business stakeholders in the Corporate Treasury Department Americas Division, which reports directly to the U.S. Chief Financial Officer (“U.S. CFO”). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, US regulatory framework and risk management techniques.
