About The Position

About the Role The Director, Transportation Transformation is an individual contributor reporting to the SVP, Global Transportation, Import Compliance & Logistics Planning. You will sit on the Transportation leadership team and own two responsibilities end-to-end: Transportation LRP/AOP (strategy → plan → funded roadmap) Transportation transformation program execution and governance — responsible for coordinated execution, governance, milestone tracking, and value delivery across initiatives This role partners closely across Brands, Functional Transportation leadership, Supply Chain Strategy & Operations, Technology, Finance, and external partners (carriers, brokers, 3PLs). Responsibilities span process redesign, AI and technology enablement, analytics, and operating model development to make the transportation network more automated, efficient, predictable, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA/MS preferred.
  • 10+ years in transportation/supply chain with exposure across inbound, outbound, parcel, and international/domestic networks.
  • Track record leading operating model redesign, process automation, and large-scale change in a matrixed environment.
  • Hands-on program/project management experience running multi-workstream portfolios with disciplined governance.
  • Strong transportation fundamentals: carrier management, routing guide logic, TMS operations, freight payment/settlement, and practical compliance awareness.
  • Process transformation capability: Lean/CI mindset; able to build standard work and governance that stick.
  • Technology fluency (no coding required): effective with product, engineering, and data teams; understands APIs/EDI and event-driven integration concepts.
  • Data-driven operator: strong Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with SQL/BI tools (hands-on or directional); can turn messy data into clear decisions.
  • Executive presence and change leadership: influences without authority, drives alignment, and keeps momentum under ambiguity

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual Transportation LRP/AOP process: set priorities, align stakeholders, lock scope, and publish a single, sequenced roadmap.
  • Build decision-ready business cases and ROI; make trade-offs, dependencies, and risks clear for leadership decisions.
  • Run the Transportation program office: governance cadence, milestone tracking, issue/risk management, decision logs, and value realization.
  • Drive enterprise visibility (RTTVP) and exception management (predictive ETAs, risk alerts, faster resolution) with Tech and carriers; eliminate manual trackers and one-off reporting.
  • Standardize and automate planning and execution workflows (event-driven where possible), with clear decision logic and controls.
  • Lead parcel and network optimization (carrier strategy, service-level mix, cost-to-serve), and support store delivery standards—balancing service stability with cost and productivity.
  • Redesign end-to-end processes and the operating model: standard work, clear ownership, KPIs/SLAs, and performance routines that sustain adoption.
  • Serve as the business owner for Transportation technology adoption—requirements, testing, rollout readiness, training, and change adoption.
  • Communicate clearly at all levels with concise, executive-ready updates and practical guidance for operators.
