Job requirements Aptia Group US is seeking a highly experienced Director, Transformation Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact initiatives within our U.S. business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing large-scale transformation initiatives across Aptia. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and executive owners to ensure bodies of work are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of quality. You will serve as a senior individual contributor and key delivery leader to enable our transformational ambitions, managing complex workstreams in close collaboration with leadership and fellow colleagues. This role requires a strategic thinker, storyteller, and hands-on executor. This is bigger than your traditional transformation role - we are seeking a leader who has proven experience driving sustainable impact. Transformation is hard, but rewarding - are you ready to drive meaningful change? The position requires Eastern or Central Time availability and occasional travel.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of transformation, project management, or similar experience.
  • Proven track record leading complex enterprise-wide or cross-functional transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing large-scale change impacting people, processes, systems, and technology
  • Strong hands-on project management experience, including direct ownership of delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders as a thought and execution partner.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent story telling skills, with the ability to clearly articulate project status, risks, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute with precision.
  • Seeking a project manager who views the role as more than assigning tasks, project reporting, and managing a project plan, but rather as a trusted partner to transform the business.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Consulting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-visibility transformation projects across U.S. benefits administration business.
  • Own delivery outcomes, dependencies, and benefits realization for assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment to business objectives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and thought partner for assigned initiatives, managing expectations and driving both alignment and execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as appropriate.
  • Apply established project governance, reporting, and documentation standards to ensure transparency and consistency.
  • Support financial stewardship of initiatives, including tracking spend, assessing impacts to business cases, and supporting delivery of expected benefits.
  • Innovate, drive and support continuous client-centric improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance delivery processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Ensure projects align with U.S. regulatory, data privacy, and compliance requirements relevant to benefits administration.
  • This role is highly visible within Aptia Group US and involves regular interaction with senior leaders across the globe.
