About The Position

High-impact Treasury & Payment Solutions sales leader to drive regional growth across Commercial Banking. This leader will own the Treasury & Payment Solutions (TPS) sales strategy, talent development, and execution across the full suite of cash management and working capital solutions—including payables, receivables, liquidity & investments, merchant services, and commercial card, for the Pacific Region (CA, OR, WA). The ideal candidate is a builder–coach who combines disciplined pipeline management, sharp financial acumen, and an enterprise mindset to deliver sustained revenue and client value. Own regional TPS revenue plan and new business acquisition, cross-sell, and wallet-share growth targets. Drive pipeline discipline (stage hygiene, forecast accuracy, cycle-time productivity) across the team Partner with Leaders and Relationship Managers (RMs) to co-originate and co-sell integrated TPS solutions Champion consultative, insights-led selling: working capital diagnostics, payment modernization roadmaps, and treasury transformation business cases Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing TPS sales team; set clear goals, coach consistently, and create succession benches. Leads business development efforts by building and nurturing strategic relationships with prospects and existing clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling treasury and cash management solutions, and leveraging professional networks to expand business reach. Leads complex deal closures with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient execution aligned with organizational goals and compliance. Evaluates potential vulnerabilities and manages risks within client portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while aligning service levels with business objectives. Oversees client implementation activities to ensure timely delivery, providing actionable feedback for internal process refinement and improved client experiences. Serves as a subject matter expert, delivering innovative treasury solutions to enhance client and internal operational efficiency. Represents the organization at industry forums and community events, utilizing market insights and trends to reinforce the Bank’s brand and identify new business opportunities. Executes on strategic initiatives by coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, operational excellence, and market-leading practices. Champions process optimization by spearheading large-scale workflow improvements and integrating best practices across treasury and payment operations to enhance operational efficiency. Builds and maintains strong long-term relationships with the bank’s high-value and strategic clients, providing strategic advice on financial solutions and ensuring exceptional service and partnership. Works closely with internal teams and stakeholders to define products, solutions and strategies that best fit clients’ needs. Regularly connects work to BMO’s purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through. Builds interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create the highest value for all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in sales and treasury management, financial operations or risk management in a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
