About The Position

The Director, Ticket Sales will be responsible for developing and executing ticket sales strategies that maximize revenue for all season tickets, clubs and other ticketed hospitality offerings related to the new stadium. This position will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising and motivating a large new business ticket sales staff in an effort to optimize sales team performance. The ideal candidate should have multiple years of first-hand sales and management experience. They should be comfortable analyzing ticket sales performance metrics, data analytics and how to utilize the information available to forecast and drive decision making. The Director, Ticket Sales should be comfortable speaking in public, a proven team leader, and have the ability to create and manage a positive and dynamic sales culture. Fluency in digital marketing, experience working closely with data analytics and managing multiple complex sales campaigns will be critical to success. The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for leadership and positive enthusiasm for collaboration with teammates. This role will require very close collaboration with the Cleveland Browns to ensure the Browns brand and partner relationships are protected, elevated and enhanced throughout the new stadium campaign.

Requirements

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to develop strong working relationships with partners, teammates, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and to prioritize efficiently
  • Familiarity with digital media marketing and social media platforms
  • High emotional intelligence, intellectual curiosity and desire to grow professionally

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while remaining organized, efficient and calm under pressure
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8+ years of successful sales management experience (sports business a plus)
  • Direct sales experience, preferably as a top performer for multiple seasons

Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for annual revenue goals
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and develop Account Executives
  • Create and implement regular ticket sales training initiatives
  • Analyze historical and current ticket sales data to guide campaigns and lead sourcing
  • Create dashboards and CRM reports to track performance
  • Participate in planning meetings for cross-departmental revenue opportunities
  • Assist in marketing campaigns, inventory management, and season ticket renewals
  • Assist in the creation and managing of the ticket sales budget and business plan
  • Track daily revenue, manage campaigns, and communicate team performance
  • Manage inter-organizational relationships to support collaboration and best practice sharing
