About The Position

Position SummaryThe Director, Portfolio Management serves as the strategic and technical leader for Minaris’ Contract Testing Services portfolio. This role owns the global testing services portfolio strategy while also driving market-facing activities, including service launches, campaigns, and commercial enablement, to generate qualified leads and revenue. The Director will bridge scientific expertise with portfolio management, marketing, and business development to strengthen Minaris’ position as a trusted Contract Testing partner and accelerate growth across the global biologics industry. Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Strategy & Ownership Maintain primary ownership of the global Testing Services portfolio, including service mix, positioning, pricing, customer segmentation, and value propositions.Strategically manage the portfolio to align with client needs, regulatory requirements, and evolving market trends, ensuring a competitive and differentiated offering.Identify gaps and opportunities within the portfolio; prioritize and lead initiatives such as new assay development, new service introduction, and technology adoption.Gather and analyze market and competitive intelligence to anticipate client needs, regulatory shifts, and competitive dynamics, informing portfolio decisions and go-to-market priorities. Own & drive business cases and offer development projects, collaborating with Finance and other internal stakeholders. Market Insight, Positioning & Messaging Lead voice of customer, market, and competitive intelligence activities to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and differentiation opportunities.Translate insights into segment and portfolio positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks that resonate with target audiences (e.g. mAb, cell therapy, large pharma, biotech)Anticipate regulatory and market shifts to guide portfolio evolution, messaging, and innovation focus. Partner with Analytical Sciences, Technical Operations, Regulatory, and Quality to articulate Minaris Advanced Testing’ technical and regulatory advantages in the portfolio narrative. Launches, Campaigns & Demand Generation Lead the planning and execution of global service and assay launches for the Testing portfolio, from concept through launch and full product life cycle. Oversee the development of thought leadership, case studies, and campaign content that highlight Minaris’ testing capabilities, technical depth, and regulatory expertise.Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure portfolio-focused campaigns and launches directly support pipeline growth, revenue targets, and key account expansion.Own portfolio and marketing performance metrics and use data driven insights to optimize mix, pricing, and campaigns, reporting outcomes and recommendations to leadership on a regular basis. Commercial & Sales Enablement Serve as a key technical and strategic resource for Sales in support of the Testing portfolio, providing portfolio support for critical client meetings, RFPs and proposals. Oversee the creation of portfolio-focused sales enablement tools, playbooks, and collateral that translate portfolio and marketing strategies into field success.Partner with Sales leadership to align portfolio priorities with territory and account plans to help ensure that Sales are equipped to position and differentiate Minaris Advanced Testing services. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related discipline required; advanced degree (MS/PhD or MBA) preferred.10+ years of experience in life sciences, CDMO, or CRO environments with a blend of portfolio management, product/segment marketing, and/or business development experience.Strong technical knowledge of analytical testing, assay development, and regulatory expectations within biopharmaceutical modalities.Demonstrated ability to lead portfolio strategy: identify gaps, developing new services, and managing cross-functional initiatives through commercialization.Proven experience translating complex scientific and technical offerings into compelling, customer centric value propositions and marketing narratives.Experience planning and executing service/product launches and integrated campaigns that drive measurable pipeline and revenue impacts are a plus. Strong strategic thinking and execution skills; able to see the big picture while managing detailed plans and deliverables.Excellent executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across levels and functions.Ability to travel up to ~20% as needed for client meetings, conferences, and internal collaboration. Requirements
