Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. Google's Global Network & Infrastructure (GGN&I) is a system of high-capacity fiber optic cables that encircle the globe, under land and sea, connecting data centers to each other and to users. Our network is critical societal infrastructure - it supports all our Google employees and all our Google product areas (Search, YouTube, Workspace, Ads, Bets, etc.) including Cloud and all their customers. Fiber and Capacity Delivery is responsible for delivering the long-haul and metro OSP fiber infrastructure assets that connect Google's data centers to users and Cloud customers worldwide, ensuring seamless and reliable data transfer across vast distances. As Director of Fiber Capacity Delivery Documentation and Asset Management, you will lead the global strategy and execution for the delivery of dark fiber and leased capacity, ensuring the meticulous documentation and asset management of Google's expansive network infrastructure. This pivotal role involves overseeing a global team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and driving the development of standardized processes, tools, and best practices to optimize vendor performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. You will be instrumental in aligning Google's network infrastructure roadmap with evolving business objectives, ensuring seamless connectivity for users and Cloud customers worldwide. This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to manage complex, hyperscale fiber deployment programs across multiple regions and continents.
