As a Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) at Capital One, you will lead programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large scale products and platforms. You will work closely with product and engineering partners to build a modern, secure, flexible, and resilient Core Banking Platform. This new platform will simplify existing processes and products across Capital One's Bank organization and modernize the tools that power key business capabilities. You will also help expand the TPM discipline within the team by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience.

  • Drive the technical program and help build modern solutions for Capital One customers.
  • Work closely with product and engineering partners to build a modern Core Banking Platform.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery life-cycle.
  • Grow and develop a team of TPMs while building the foundations for the TPM practice.
  • Lead and drive delivery across complex program initiatives.
  • Simplify technically complex issues and drive well-educated decisions across teams.
  • Ensure execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
  • Collaborate across different functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
  • 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture, preferably using AWS.
  • 3+ years experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
  • 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs.
  • Experience in building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering).
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering) or equivalent experience.
