About The Position

As the Central Technical Program Manager (TPgM) for AI Powered Google (AIPG), you will be the primary architect of execution for one of the company’s complex and ambitious transformations. You will oversee a horizontal program aimed at scaling AI impact by 2026, transitioning Google into a next-generation agentic enterprise. In this role, you will navigate ambiguity, arbitrate technical standards across all Core pillars, and serve as the main connective tissue between the AIPG Steering Committee, Core Labs, and Product Areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that hundreds of ambient agents converge into a unified, scalable ecosystem rather than fragmented silos. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Computer Science or, in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 15 years of experience in technical program management, engineering management, or related technical roles.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics in a technical or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
  • Participate in strategic orchestration and governance, setting the strategy, operational excellence, and executive partnership.
  • Engage in technical leadership and standardization, driving convergence, customer strategy, and foundational innovation.
  • Help with ecosystem and change management, by scaling the model and utilizing influence.
  • Participate in large-scale program management and AI/ML system architecture.
  • Manage return on investment (ROI) initiatives and solve problems that cross multiple functional groups (e.g., Security, Privacy, and Finance).
  • Align disparate Product Area goals with the horizontal AIPG mission.
  • Commit to growing Google’s executive-level talent pipeline and fostering an "AI-Savvy" culture across the global workforce.
