Lead the strategy, scope, fulfillment partnerships, and continuous improvements associated with our technical content development and delivery operation.

Requirements

  • 15 years minimum experience as a global Director, Technical Content Management (or related role) in a clinical trial operations context � producing end-user technical documentation and associated learning enablement assets and partnering with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and other Medidata stakeholder teams.
  • 15 years minimum experience as a People Manager for a large Technical Content Management team � consisting of both remote and onsite talent
  • 15 years minimum experience designing technical content strategy and associated learning solutions in a Life Sciences context. Clinical Trial Operations context preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Technical Content Management or a related discipline or equivalent years of experience
  • Proficient in Technical Content design, information mapping, human-centered design, Articulate Storyline, Confluence, Google Workspace (G Suite), PhotoShop, Camtasia, Simplified English, Accessibility, JIRA/Agile practices, and localization readiness best practices
  • Stewardship for best-in-class, integrated technical content management
  • Learning-as-a-Service business acumen to position learning solutions as a driver of customer success and business growth
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication, project management, and partnering competencies
  • Creative approach to innovation and ideation to differentiate our technical content management from other competitors
  • Ability to work well, and enable others to work well, within challenging release or project timeframes in a fast-paced, software development environment

Responsibilities

  • Direct the creation and alignment of technical content development strategy and operations with other Global Education and cross-org operations. Facilitate cross-org synergies that deliver operational efficiencies and a unified, exceptional learning experience for all end users.
  • Innovate to reflect industry and customer learning enablement best practices and to upgrade/expand the value-add impact to customer and business success.
  • People Management for a centralized team of 20+ technical writers - 4 to 6 direct reports.
  • Advocacy for all our global learner personas
  • Development, enablement and empowerment of our talent
