About The Position

The Director Team Lead, Strategy & Consulting, Corporate PRD at Pfizer will work closely with executive leadership and various corporate functions to develop and execute strategies that enhance Pfizer's business performance and efficiency. This role involves managing cross-functional projects, supporting the Corporate Strategic Plan, and providing insights into market dynamics that affect the company's strategic direction. Requirements

  • BA/BS required, life sciences degree helpful; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant healthcare experience, including strategy development.
  • 3+ years of biopharmaceutical consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience in corporate strategy and/or R&D preferred.
  • Understanding of US and Global healthcare trends and competitor strategies.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels without direct authority.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop recommendations for decision-making.
  • Ability to translate market dynamics into strategic implications.
  • Demonstrated project leadership and management of complex workstreams.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring junior resources.
  • Basic understanding of finance and P&L implications of strategy.
  • Ability to distill complex information into actionable frameworks.
  • Experience working effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills for addressing executive teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial functions involving strategy development.
  • Familiarity with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the completion of components of an annual corporate strategic plan and a strategy action plan.
  • Analyze Pfizer's financial performance and leverage insights to inform corporate strategy.
  • Engage with corporate and PRD functional leads to understand business needs and identify strategic imperatives.
  • Lead or participate in projects that provide insight for strategic levers such as clinical trial paradigms and market development.
  • Develop expertise in market dynamics and assess opportunities for strategic direction.
  • Build external relationships to shape future strategies and corporate direction.
  • Participate in the Strategy & Consulting team to identify opportunities for alignment and best practices.
  • Create a productive work environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.
  • Lead and manage a team of 2-3 colleagues, providing coaching and development.
