About The Position

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Talent, the Director, Talent Programs & Platforms is responsible for building and scaling the enterprise talent infrastructure to support a biotech organization’s scientific, clinical, manufacturing, and corporate workforce needs. This role owns talent programs, platforms, recruitment marketing, employer brand, onboarding, and the contract/contingent workforce model to ensure the organization can attract, engage, integrate, and deploy critical talent in a highly competitive and regulated environment. The role partners closely with R&D, Clinical, Technical Operations, HR, Marketing, IT, Legal, and Procurement to align talent capabilities with pipeline milestones and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of experience in talent programs, recruiting operations, onboarding, or HR technology
  • Experience supporting biotech, pharma, or life sciences organizations
  • Proven ownership of enterprise talent platforms and programs
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise talent technology roadmap supporting scientific, clinical, GxP, manufacturing, and corporate roles.
  • Serve as business owner for ATS, CRM, onboarding platforms, recruitment marketing tools, assessments, scheduling, and analytics.
  • Ensure platforms support compliance, audit readiness, data integrity, and global scalability.
  • Partner with IT and vendors on integrations, upgrades, and optimization.
  • Lead recruitment marketing strategy for specialized scientific and technical talent (e.g., discovery, translational, clinical, regulatory, CMC).
  • Own employer brand and employee value proposition in partnership with Marketing and Communications.
  • Oversee career site strategy, scientific storytelling, digital and social campaigns, and talent community engagement.
  • Measure brand strength and campaign effectiveness across priority talent segments.
  • Design and manage enterprise talent programs including early career, postdoctoral and PhD pipelines, internal mobility, referrals, DEI initiatives, and hiring manager enablement.
  • Establish scalable, compliant talent processes aligned with functional and pipeline needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement to support rapid growth and evolving scientific priorities.
  • Design and facilitate enterprise onboarding programs that accelerate productivity, engagement, and cultural integration.
  • Ensure onboarding experiences meet regulatory, compliance, and GxP requirements for scientific and technical roles.
  • Partner with HR, IT, Facilities, EHS, and business leaders to deliver seamless pre-boarding and onboarding experiences.
  • Measure onboarding effectiveness through time-to-productivity, early attrition, and new hire feedback.
  • Continuously improve onboarding programs to support growth, change, and workforce flexibility.
  • Own the enterprise contract and contingent workforce strategy, including scientific contractors, consultants, and clinical resources.
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Compliance to ensure proper worker classification and regulatory adherence.
  • Oversee VMS platforms, staffing suppliers, and workforce mix analytics.
  • Establish governance to manage cost, risk, and flexibility.
  • Define talent and contingent workforce metrics tied to pipeline milestones, capacity planning, quality outcomes, and onboarding effectiveness.
  • Deliver executive-ready dashboards to inform workforce strategy and investment decisions.
  • Ensure consistent data definitions and reporting across functions and geographies.
  • Lead adoption of new platforms, programs, and processes across scientific and non-scientific teams.
  • Develop training and enablement for recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders.
  • Manage vendors, budgets, and governance for talent platforms, programs, and onboarding.
