About The Position

The Director of Talent Development at EnerSys is a strategic role focused on spearheading Learning and Development (L&D) and Talent Management initiatives. This position is essential for creating a data-driven approach to talent development, optimizing workforce capabilities through innovative programs, and enhancing overall organizational performance. The successful candidate will leverage analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of talent development processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in talent development, learning and development, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective training programs and talent management processes.
  • Proven expertise in using data analytics tools to design and assess training programs.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and learning management systems (LMS), with experience in data analytics platforms preferred.
  • Certification in talent management or training (e.g., SHRM, ATD) is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in change management initiatives related to talent development.
  • Familiarity with advanced learning technologies and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a talent development strategy leveraging workforce analytics to identify skills gaps and align with business objectives.
  • Utilize data to create targeted development programs addressing immediate and long-term talent needs.
  • Design and implement L&D programs based on comprehensive needs assessments, utilizing analytics to pinpoint skills gaps.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training initiatives using metrics and feedback tools, adjusting programs based on data-driven insights.
  • Track participant progress and engagement levels using learning analytics to assess training impact on performance.
  • Oversee the talent management lifecycle, incorporating data analytics to enhance performance management and succession planning.
  • Implement talent assessment tools to identify high-potential employees and track their development.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the organization.
  • Mentor a team of L&D and talent management professionals, setting clear goals and tracking team effectiveness through metrics.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align talent development initiatives with strategic business objectives, providing actionable insights.
