The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of all supply chain functions within the organization, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. This role ensures that materials and products move efficiently and cost-effectively through the supply chain to meet production demands and customer expectations. This role will develop and implement best-in-class processes, build supplier partnerships, and align supply chain activities with the company’s growth, quality, and delivery goals.

  • Lead and mentor the Supply Chain team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals across sourcing, procurement, inventory, and logistics functions.
  • Oversee and optimize the flow of materials, information, and goods across the supply chain to support production schedules and customer delivery expectations.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, finance, and sales to ensure supply chain activities support business needs and operational efficiency.
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, including oversight of contract negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Oversee vendor pricing strategy by ensuring competitive pricing through regular cost analysis, market research, and proactive negotiation; continuously seek new sourcing opportunities and cost-reduction initiatives to improve margin and value.
  • Direct inventory planning and control processes to balance production readiness with cost containment, minimizing E&O, and mitigating supply risk.
  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
  • Drive gross inventory and E&O risk down to industry-leading levels as aligned with the CFO.
  • Own the analysis and management of tariffs, duties, and import/export fees; evaluate their impact on total landed cost and integrate findings into sourcing and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving data-based decision making.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, lead times, cost volatility, and external disruptions.
  • Support ERP system optimization and drive adoption of tools and technologies to improve visibility and control across the supply chain.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field is required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in overseeing cross functional teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong working knowledge of supply chain best practices, logistics operations, and supplier management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem solving.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, inventory, and logistics.
  • Familiarity with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to convey detailed and accurate instructions and information verbally
  • Ability to hear with or without correction for receiving and interpreting detailed information
  • Ability to sit at a desk work station for varying periods
  • Capability to push, pull, lift, reach, and carry at least 10 pounds, occasionally lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance

  • Visual acuity with or without correction for reading documentation, analyzing data, and using electronic devices
  • Use of fingers and hands for operating a computer or other electronic devices
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required
