About The Position

The Director, Supply Chain Optimization will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance efficiency, agility, and visibility across the supply chain network. This role will shape long-term strategies that optimize network capacity, guide make vs. buy decisions and strengthen operational resilience. Acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership, the Director will leverage data, technology, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement, cost savings, and service excellence from suppliers through to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Planning, or Distribution, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable improvements in cost, service, and efficiency.
  • Strong digital fluency and experience with enterprise tools (e.g., Power BI, D365, advanced analytics platforms).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive decision-making and drive alignment across multiple functions.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional supply chain optimization initiatives, including network design, capacity utilization, insourcing vs. outsourcing strategies, and integration of new manufacturing and distribution assets.
  • Review multi‑echelon inventory optimization (MEIO) and deployment (DRP) to place the right stock at the right node, minimizing obsolescence and expedites.
  • Define and help establish Planning & Inventory COE to standardize methods, tools, and training; scale best practices across the network.
  • Define and govern supply chain performance metrics (KPIs) that align with enterprise objectives, enabling leadership to make fact-based decisions on capacity planning, sourcing, and distribution.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve inventory management, distribution efficiency, and service reliability while balancing cost and risk.
  • Drive team coordination for scenario planning (what‑if) for demand surges, outages, and mix shifts; recommend make/buy, prebuild, and allocation strategies.
  • Champion digital transformation within the supply chain, driving adoption of advanced analytics, real-time monitoring, and predictive modeling to enhance visibility and responsiveness.
  • Build diagnostics and control towers (exceptions, near‑real‑time signals, root cause drill‑downs) to accelerate decisions.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights into network performance, bottlenecks, and risks at the executive level.
  • Partner with IT and data analytics teams to ensure scalable, accurate, and timely data models that support scenario planning, simulation, and long-range capacity strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, preparing business cases, executive reports, and recommendations that balance operational performance with long-term growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain organization by identifying opportunities for standardization, efficiency, and innovation.
