About The Position

The Director of Continuous Improvement for the Next Gen Network is responsible for leading strategic initiatives across network. This role drives continuous improvement and large-scale projects to deliver value for associates, customers, and the overall supply chain. The position is based in Bentonville, AR, with anticipated travel up to 75%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field and 5 years' experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area OR 7 years' experience in logistics, distribution, transportation, or related area.
  • 3 years' experience with advanced functionality of Microsoft Office.
  • 2 years' supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business strategies aligned with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Build and lead internal and external partnerships to support business initiatives and associate engagement.
  • Analyze costs, forecasts, and operational metrics to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Lead process improvement programs by simplifying operations, enhancing controls, and driving behavior change.
  • Champion innovation and lean methodologies to reduce waste and improve service levels.
  • Evaluate current practices and technologies, identify gaps, and implement sustainable solutions across business functions.
  • Oversee nationwide projects, ensuring alignment with global trends and best practices.
  • Manage interdependencies across implementation portfolios, adjusting priorities based on strategic needs.
  • Design and operationalize initiatives within support segment frameworks to enhance associate and customer experience.
  • Research and develop solutions to address system pain points and gaps.
  • Align technology solutions across business models and markets.
  • Develop business cases for system enhancements and lead implementation of new procedures.
  • Attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled workforce through mentorship, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Oversee Continuous Skills Development (CSD) activities, including onboarding, training, and upskilling.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, Systems, RO, People) to ensure seamless execution of training programs.
  • Define vision and strategies for change management, build business cases, and gain stakeholder buy-in.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership to influence decisions and drive adoption.
