The Director, Supplier Management Office leads strategic oversight of vendor and supplier relationships. The role is responsible for contract negotiations, risk management, and supplier performance, with a focus on optimizing procurement and supply chain operations. The Director also manages strategic projects and leads high-visibility, enterprise-wide supplier relationships and negotiations. This critical leadership role ensures that all supplier-related activities align with the organization's strategic objectives, cost-efficiency goals, and compliance requirements. It combines high-level strategic planning with hands-on oversight and team leadership to maintain a resilient, cost-effective, and quality-focused supply chain. The position requires a strong blend of business acumen, legal knowledge, supplier relationship expertise, and leadership skills to drive organizational success through effective supplier management. The Director, Supplier Management Office is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the VP, Business PMO and Supplier Management.

  • Refine and lead comprehensive vendor management programs, including the design and implementation of vendor governance frameworks, policies, and contract management strategies.
  • Negotiate, draft, and execute supplier contracts ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance through QBR meetings, scorecards, KPIs, risk metrics, and compliance audits. Lead regular performance review meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage supplier relationship lifecycle to foster collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement while mitigating financial, operational, and reputational risks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Legal, Finance, and Operations to align supplier strategies with corporate goals.
  • Report supplier performance and associated risks to executive leadership, recommending strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex vendor-related issues or disputes.
  • Build strategic partnerships with key suppliers and distributor networks to reduce costs and improve supply reliability.
  • Lead initiatives to automate and improve vendor management processes and tools.
  • Direct supplier risk management, including supplier capacity, financial exposure, and supply continuity.
  • Lead and mentor the supplier management and sourcing team, providing guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management software and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of ERP or supplier management systems such as SAP, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strategic thinker with an ability to align supplier management goals to broader business objectives.
  • High organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

  • Skilled in conflict resolution and addressing risks associated with strategic initiatives.
  • Eight years' experience in vendor management, procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Three years' experience managing supplier management teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Contract Management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
