About The Position

The Director of Student Success Programs (EOPS/Next Up/CARE) at Reedley College is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and integrating operations of federally or state grant-funded student success programs. This role ensures that programs meet established goals, objectives, and reporting guidelines while managing the implementation of services. The director acts as a liaison with educational institutions and community resources, initiates strategies for achieving the District's mission, and performs related duties as assigned. The position is distinguished by its focus on developing and implementing programs aimed at improving enrollment, retention, and educational completion for under-served and under-performing student populations.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • One year of formal training, internship or leadership experience related to the administrative assignment.
  • Two years of experience in the management or administration of educational programs or community organizations within the last four years.
  • Completion of a minimum of six (6) units of college-level coursework relating to ethnic minorities or persons handicapped by educational, language, or social disadvantages.
  • A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District's vehicle insurance program.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, controls, integrates and evaluates the work of assigned categorically funded programs.
  • Develops, implements and monitors work plans to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Contributes to the development of and monitors performance against the annual program(s) and grant budgets.
  • Researches, identifies and assists with the solicitation of grants, donations and other sources of funding.
  • Manages and directs development, implementation and evaluation of plans, work processes, systems and procedures to achieve annual program goals.
  • Participates in the selection of full-time and part-time faculty.
  • Conducts and/or facilitates new employee orientations.
  • Directs and manages the performance of assigned employees.
  • Provides day-to-day leadership to ensure a high-performance, service-oriented work environment.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of District/college strategic plans.
  • Plans, organizes and directs the implementation of one or more categorically-funded student success programs.
  • Collaborates and develops partnerships with local school districts and community resources.
  • Oversees the operation of a student support center.
  • Creates and maintains an assessment plan for program courses.
  • Makes presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Recommends, develops, implements, and revises policies and procedures.
  • Interprets, applies and ensures compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Serves on or leads committees and represents the college at various conferences.
