About The Position

The Director of Strategy and Product Development will lead Komline’s product strategy and new product development with a primary focus on data center infrastructure markets. The Director is responsible for translating market and customer requirements into scalable, commercial product offerings, and establishing consistency in how new products are developed and introduced across the company. The Director will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Finance to ensure product development efforts are aligned with business priorities, technical capabilities, and commercialization objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or related field); advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product development, product management, or technology leadership
  • Experience with data center infrastructure, mission-critical systems, or adjacent industrial markets
  • Track record of successful product launches in industrial or infrastructure markets
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer requirements into commercial products
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
  • Existing network within data center or mission-critical infrastructure markets

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of water treatment and cooling-related solutions for hyperscale and mission-critical data center applications
  • Translate data center owner, operator, EPC, and consultant requirements into standardized productized offerings
  • Define product specifications aligned with reliability, resiliency, and sustainability expectations
  • Support strategic customer discussions and evaluate product-market fit for emerging data center needs
  • Shape the long-term product roadmap for data center infrastructure markets
  • Establish and maintain a consistent approach to new product development across multiple end markets
  • Define development priorities and sequencing based on market opportunity, technical feasibility, and resource availability
  • Ensure new products progress from concept through commercialization with clear milestones and accountability using structured product development methodologies (Stage-Gate, Design for Six Sigma, Agile/Hybrid)
  • Coordinate cross-functional input from engineering, operations, sales, and finance throughout the development process
  • Support evaluation of partnerships or external technologies where appropriate to accelerate time to market
