As a Global Director of Procurement - Transportation & Distribution, you will be responsible in leading the global strategy and execution for Warehouse, Distribution, and Transportation procurement categories to deliver total cost of ownership improvements, service reliability, risk reduction, and sustainability outcomes. Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance to source and manage 3PL/4PL solutions, carrier portfolios inclusive of ocean and air freight, and material handling/service contracts that support business growth and customer experience. The ideal candidate will develop category strategies, execute projects inclusive of strategic sourcing, leverage data analytics skills, drive contract negotiations, and facilitate supplier relationship management and contract governance at our Fort Worth, TX location. In this role, a typical day will include: Strategic Planning: Develop and manage 3–5-year category sourcing plans for transportation and distribution, identifying opportunities for cost savings, service improvement, and risk mitigation. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor regional category procurement managers and analysts to achieve at least 3% annual productivity improvements on addressable spend. Sourcing & Negotiation: Drive strategic sourcing initiatives across all transportation modes (truckload, less-than-truckload, rail, ocean, air freight) and distribution services (small parcels, warehouse services, capital equipment, supplies). Oversee RFP development, supplier selection, and contract award processes. Contract Governance: Negotiate global and regional contracts with transportation and distribution of service providers, securing favorable terms, cost savings, and robust service level agreements. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Data Analytics: Leverage TMS/WMS data, freight audit & pay, and eProcurement tools to evaluate opportunities, identify trends, and support decision-making. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—including supply chain, finance, and operations—to align procurement strategies with business needs and productivity targets. Market Intelligence: Stay informed of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes affecting supply chains and logistics. Sustainability & DEI: Champion sustainability initiatives (Scope 3 logistics emissions) and foster diverse supplier development, embedding these values in procurement practices.
