About The Position

The Operations Director I /Director of Strategic Projects is responsible for the management and prioritization of all technology initiatives supporting Affinity Healthcare's business portfolio. This position is for a hybrid schedule, in office and remote throughout the week in Ft. Washington, PA. Requirements

  • 10+ years of business experience preferably in the insurance industry
  • Experience in Team Management, Project Management and Resource Planning
  • Self starter with operational improvement / mentality
  • Has technical expertise to accomplish complex processes/tasks
  • Experience analyzing complex issues and coming up with creative solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong organizational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication; both written and verbal
  • Proactive Management Style and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years Technology Project Management
  • Systems Knowledge (AS400, AuMine, Majesco, InsPro, Wintam, CoverWallet, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant validated experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all Affinity Healthcare Technology and Strategic projects
  • Manage, prioritize and ensure the accurate and timely implementation of all technology-related projects. These include initiatives driven by compliance, carrier partner mandates, and efforts focused on revenue growth and expense optimization.
  • Platforms in scope include AS400, AuMine, InsPro, Majesco, Wintam, CoverWallet, web platforms
  • Responsible for project submission, business requirements development, prioritization, User Acceptance Test (UAT) plans, UAT execution, and deployment in coordination with all teams.
  • Support the implementation of the CoverWallet roadmap for Healthcare by providing testing support, ensuring teams are prepared with tools and training, and identifying and helping resolve challenges related to implementation.
  • Maintain operational excellence, aligning cross-functional efforts, and ensuring strategic projects deliver on the ROI commitments.
  • Requires interaction with multiple teams (IT, call center, operations, accounting, compliance) as well as Healthcare leadership.
  • Requires communication with carrier partner to ensure alignment on project priorities and execution, as well as reporting on project status.
  • Ensure we scale effectively and maintain our leadership position in the market, while remaining compliant with dynamic carrier and state regulatory requirements.
  • Manage a team of 4 Operations Specialists
