About The Position

The Director, Strategic Projects will serve as a key strategic partner to the President of Kay & Peoples, supporting initiatives that span merchandising, planning, operations, and other critical business functions. Acting as a liaison among stakeholders, this individual will ensure alignment, gather essential information, and facilitate decision-making to advance high-impact projects. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or business operations, ideally within retail or consumer-focused environments.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create a life cycle product development calendar, syncing with cross functional calendars, such as Marketing and Ecommerce.
  • Lead and manage strategic projects across Kay & Peoples, ensuring timely execution and delivery of objectives.
  • Serve as a central point of coordination between the President, senior leadership, and project teams to maintain alignment and transparency.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize information from stakeholders to inform project plans, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and performance metrics to track progress and ensure accountability.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, reports, and updates to communicate project status and outcomes effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency across supported functions.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and strategies.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
